Women and Poetry Prize
Friday 12th March 2010 at 8.30 p.m. at the theater of S. Maria di Sala (Venice)
The Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto is special guest at the prize-giving ceremony of the 3rd Scent of a Woman poetry competition for poetesses organised by S.Maria di Sala town council.

Twinning between S. M. di Sala and Hvar (Croatia)
Saturday 5 December 2009 at 7 p.m. - Theatre of S. Maria di Sala.
In the framework of the twinning arrangement between S. Maria di Sala
and the town of Hvar, a delegation from Croatia with the participation
of the Croatian Consul in Triest will be our guests.
The Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto is proud to take part in the
reception. The national anthems will be followed by selected pieces
from the orchestra's wide repertoire.
To mark the 50th anniversary of the construction of the bell tower the Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto gives a concert in the cathedral of Mortegliano.
Directed by M° Benvenuto Bassan the orchestra will present various pieces from its recently released CD "Images for Winds" complemented by new passages including famous operetta arias.
The concert is organised by the town council and the Tourist Board of Mortegliano.

Concert at the Antica Scuola dei Battuti in Mestre
Saturday, November 22nd, at 3.30 p.m.
The Orchestra will perform at the Mabilia theatre inside the old people's home Antica Scuola dei Battuti in Mestre.
The concert has been organized by the rest home with the objective of giving to all its elderly guests the opportunity of meeting with their fellow-guests as well as with the citizens of Mestre.
The programme includes pieces for ensemble as well as solos.

Saturday, 18th October at 3.00 p.m. at Saint Mark's square - Venice.
A full-day performance brings the 52nd Contemporary Music International Festival to the end.
Tourists and Venitians will enjoy hearing five different bands performing each on an individual route of calli and campielli and finally joining together at St. Mark's square. National anthems will echo all round downtown to finally blend in St. Mark's.
Fresco is a walking concert for brass bands invented by the Festival Director, Luca Francesconi, in cooperation with the Italian Band Association (ANMIBA).
It is an invitation to music in its most popular form. Music performed by bands that are sometimes perfunctorily described as non-professsional but that nevertheless have represented the first and only school for many amateurs before Conservatoires were created. These bands continue to be an opportunity for enjoyment through music playing.
Sunday, September 28th at 10.30 a.m. Starting from Prato della Valle and ending at St. Antony's Cathedral.
The Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto participates in the National Brotherhood Pilgrimage accompanying one of St. Antony's holy relics.
Departure is from the square in front of the Santa Giustina Church at 10.30 a.m. The Orchestra provides musical accompaniment to the traditional prayers to St. Antony. The procession ends at the Saint's Cathedral.

Concert in Caorle (Venice)
Friday September 12th at 9.00 p.m. at Caorle's cathedral.
After the successful concert of July 4th on the 150th anniversary of composer Giacomo Puccini's birth the Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto is back on the stage in Caorle.
The Letter written by His Holiness Pope John Paul II to Artists in 1999 in which the Pope stressed the social and spiritual function of music will inspire the programme. Mankind needs scientists and engineers, fathers and mothers who work for the development of society including through music viewed as an 'educational art'. It is a fact that music is intimately associated with Faith and religiouos ceremonies through melodies and chants that will be the focus of the programme.
The concert is organised by the Tourist Department of the Municipality of Caorle in conjunction with the local Parish.

The first part of the summer concerts comes to a close on July 18th at 9 p.m. As in recent years the Orchestra will entertain the guests of the major Veneto seaside resorts, Jesolo probably being the most renowned.

Friday July 11th the Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto is proud to perform at Concordia Sagittaria (VE), a summer date which has become customary.
This year the title of the concert is Tribute to Puccini as it marks the 150th birth anniversary of the acclaimed Italian composer.
At 9.00 p.m. first summer concert of the Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto.
In the Vescovado square, opposite the historic Caorle cathedral, the Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto will be holding a concert on July 4th at 9.00 p.m.
To mark the 150th birth anniversary of the famous Italian composer, Giacomo Puccini, the Orchestra has prepared a series of arias dedicated to the artist from Lucca.

Concert in Montagnana (Padua)
The next date with the Orchestra is set at 6 p.m. at the S. Benedetto Auditorium (former Church of S. Benedetto) in Montagnana.
The Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto will close the series of events organised by the Accademia Musicale S. Benedetto (Office of the Headmaster) of Montagnana in the school year 2007-2008, with the sponsorship of the Pollini Conservatoire of Padua.
Previous dates included the L'Estro Armonico String Orchestra (April 12th); the F.Gambarin choir (April 19th); the Anthos quartet (April 26th).
The Christmas concerts come to a close on Sunday, January 6th. At 8.45 p.m. at the Natività della Beata Vergine Maria church, the Orchestra will perform a special programme with instrument music and songs.

A great concert by the Orchestra in the Ognissanti church in Padua.
On Friday December 14th, at 8.45 pm. the Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto will give a special concert with the participation of renowned opera singers. Commemoration of those who lost their lives at war at Caltana (Venice) at 10.30 a.m.
On November 4th Italy commemorates all those who died in time of war. This year the townhall of S. Maria di Sala has chosen the hamlet of Caltana as commemoration site. The Orchestra will participate in the event to pay homage to those who lost their lives for a peaceful world.

Saturday 8 September at 21.00 at the Palagraticolato indoor stadium of Caltana di Santa Maria di Sala (Venice).
The Italian Tour by the Collegium Musicum Iuvenale of Ochsenfurt, directed by Dr. Astrid Eitschberger is coming to an end with the second concert sponsored by the Municipalities of Pianiga and S. Maria di Sala.
The event will also host the Allegra Primavera choir of Pianiga directed by master Roberto Artusi. The Choir will alternate with the Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto in a pleasant evening rich of music and "bel canto".
We hope these exchanges will be musically and culturally rewarding and possibly conductive to an official twinning arrangement between Local Authorities.

Friday 7 September at 21.00 at the Theatre of Pianiga (Venice).
A great music event to return the visit paid last year by the "Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto" to the Collegium Musicum Iuvenale of Ochsenfurt (Germany).
The young singers and players of the German ensemble will perform vocal and instrumental pieces some of which composed by their very conductor Dr. Astrid Eitschberger.
The German group will be joined by the Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto and also by the choir �Allegra Primavera directed by master Roberto Artusi.
Free entrance.

A new repertoire especially arranged for the summer tour including pieces specifically written for woodwind and brass and cantatas from the most acclaimed operas.

Performance by the students of the Orchestra
Saturday, June 23rd, in the church of S. Maria di Sala, the students of the Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto will give their end-of-year concert.
At 8.45 p.m. the students of the Philarmonic Academy will show the results of a year's work.
A selection of players by the Orchestra di Fiati will also participate in the event with a repertoire of brass music specifically selected for the occasion.
Finally, the choir Schola Cantorum of S. Maria di Sala will entertain the audience with traditional songs closing a cheerful celebration of fine music and singing.

The Orchestra honours St.Anthony of Padua
Musical accompaniment to the procession honouring Saint Anthony of Padua
As customary the Orchestra pays homage to St. Anthony participating in the procession starting at 6 p.m. and unfolding through the main streets of Padua.

Concert at Rivale di Pianiga (Venice)
At 20:45 the Orchestra will exhibit in the renewed church of Rivale .
At 8.45 p.m., on the occasion of the celebrations for the refurbishing of the church of Rivale (Pianiga, Province of Venice) the Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto is giving its first spring concert of 2007.
A new repertoire suited to the occasion will be performed including music for orchestra and cantatas by the mezzo-soprano Ludmila Dobreva.

In the church of S. Maria di Sala (at 08:45 p.m.) Schola Cantorum Nativita' B.V.M. and soloists of the Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto in concert.
Performance by the Schola Cantorum alternating with solo performances (flute,alto saxophone, trombone etc.) with piano accompaniment.
Christmas songs and wind instruments original music were executed.

In the church of Moniego di Noale (Venice) at 08:45 p.m., the Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto in concert.
A great event for the people of Noale hosting for the first time the prestigious Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto.
The orchestra performed a repertoire in tune with the sacredness of the venue, including Christmas pieces for orchestra and soloists, with the participation of opera singers Ludmila Dobreva (mezzo-soprano) and Clorindo Manzato (baritone).

Concert on the island of S.Erasmo in Venice
The tower built by the archduke Maximilian Joseph of Austria in the XIX century on the island of S. Erasmo as a stronghold for the defence of Venice was the venue of a concert by the Orchestra di Fiati del Veneto.
